Save Sudan Advocacy Campaign

Posted on 17th March 2009

The first meeting on advocacy for Sudan took place in the House of Lords on 9 December 2008. It discussed ways to raise the profile of Sudan in Parliament and the Church.

It was attended by the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Sudan and Baroness Cox. It was agreed to have two working groups, one for Parliamentary issues and one for the Church. There will be a day of action on 17 June in London and a day of prayer for Sudan on Sunday 21 June.

Richard Meryon is representing Flame International and acting as a co-ordinator for the two working groups. We pray this will influence a just peace for the nation of Sudan.
