Ukraine June 2025

We've just returned from a extraordinary and fruitful mission in Ukraine, and we want to begin by saying thank you. Your prayers and support truly paved the way for what unfolded. 
Our mission began with three days of intercession—an intense and unifying time for the team. We prayed powerfully to break spiritual strongholds and to make a declaration about God's purposes over the mission ahead. This spiritual groundwork proved invaluable.
When the 51 delegates arrived—mostly Volunteer Chaplains and their spouses from Baptist churches—many of them had driven over eight hours, beginning their journeys at 4:00 a.m. Yet, they arrived smiling and expectant. One elderly chaplain, who hadn't had even a single day off in over three years, was visibly moved by the opportunity to rest at a hotel and visit a thermal spa. Another carpenter shared how, two days before the seminar, his boss denied his request for time off. Then, miraculously, the factory closed for the week—he and his wife took it as a clear sign from the Lord, and it became a life-changing time for him, including deep healing from a long-held betrayal.
We started gently—with foundational teaching and the Father's love—being mindful that many Baptists are unfamiliar with the concept of deliverance. Through simple, powerful dramas and "Father's hugs" from the team, hearts began to open.
The second day, we taught on forgiveness—explained as giving our judgment over to God. About 25 participants physically nailed their judgments to the cross. This powerful act opened the way for teachings on Healing the Human Spirit, Deliverance and Generational Influences. Ian was very gentle with his teaching on Deliverance and used scripture to explain how Jesus did it. They also reacted well to the prayer after Generational Influences, and understood the teaching. 
Each afternoon, we split into two groups: one received prayer ministry while the other went to the spa, then they switched. This allowed us to minister deeply to every person, every day. It was intense, but incredibly rewarding.
Day three we taught on Belief Systems, Freedom from Fear, Emotional Healing, and Grief and Loss. The session on Fear brought the most visible fruit. Here are just a few of their testimonies:

"During the teaching on fear, I felt the Holy Spirit take me back to a fear from my childhood I couldn't fully remember. As I prayed, I saw a picture from when I was six years old—fear of the night. I confessed, repented, forgave, and felt peace and freedom immediately."
A male chaplain shared: "I had a stammer until I was 15. When I read a psalm in church, I was miraculously able to speak clearly. Yet for 27 years, I lived in fear that the stammer might return. Through this ministry, I forgave those I needed to, and I am now free from that fear."

A woman shared her lifelong fear of losing loved ones after losing her father and brother at a young age. She realized she needed to forgive her father—not for dying, but for choosing a life of alcoholism and suicide. After that moment, the fear lifted. Even though her son was home alone, she felt peace.

Another said, "This is where I could finally share the depths of my heart. The blessing and healing I received through prayer made me feel truly seen—and free."

One interpreter recounted a powerful moment with a woman who had lost her son five years ago and was depressed. Initially she was ignoring everything that was said, but she was transformed through the love and prayer she received. She said, "I now want to help others in the same situation. Yesterday was a special day walking with the Lord."
On day four, we tackled more topics: Healing Damaged Relationships, Trauma, Control, and Lordship of Jesus. We also held a session on Healing the Land. One Superintendent who oversees 105 churches told us he was inspired to go back and cleanse his cities, villages and churches.
Our final morning was short but joyful. We spoke on Spiritual Warfare, broke bread together, and handed out certificates. As they prepared to leave, their smiling faces said everything — it was clear that real transformation had taken place.
We're already planning to go back in August 2025 for a similar mission with a new group. That trip is mostly funded, but there's a strong call to return again in 2026, dependant on funding. Many of these chaplains regularly spend a week each month at the frontlines of the war—bringing light into darkness. One of our team said "Peace will come when Jesus is on the front line!"
We returned on Saturday having had a smooth journey from Ukraine through Hungary. I can only THANK YOU for your prayers and to many of you who funded this trip.
