Testimony from Athens

In November we ran a small mission with pastors in Athens, they recently shared this with their supporters:

“For a full week, we lived together, sharing meals, tears, laughter, and the presence of God. During their training sessions, we learned a new way of intercessory prayer, one that gently invited people to open the hidden rooms of their hearts.

“As we prayed with church members, we watched them speak about wounds they had carried for years, wounds they had never dared to open before. We saw the moment forgiveness happened; forgiveness of others and sometimes, forgiveness of themselves.

“And oh, how hard we humans are on ourselves.

“How tightly we hold our own faults against our own hearts.

“But when the Spirit of God comes close, even the impossible becomes simple and closed doors begin to open.

“After these prayers, we witnessed a real transformation:

• Some gained the courage to visit the immigration office and finally received their documents.
• Another found a better job that created space for time with God.
• Marriages softened, healed, and reconnected.
• We were simply witnesses to the tenderness of God. “
