Nigeria 2025

"Praise be to the Lord, who has not let us be torn by their teeth. We have escaped like a bird from the fowler's snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped." Psalms 124:6-7
A prayer supporter sent these verses to us during last few days of mission. We sense that all our delegates over 2 weeks did indeed escape from the fowlers snare.

Firstly our team: Jan, Sharon, Steve, Rachel, Rob and Gwen want to thank all our supporters for their prayers and support for this mission. We all felt the Lord has done great things and we keep saying God was AMAZING.

We also had 24/7 prayer support in Nigeria from the Diocese of Jos, which was incredible. Our sponsors there both stated that they were responsible for our safety whilst in the country, and they took it seriously!
There were 4 parts to our mission after the 2 days of intercession at the hotel:

First Phase: Sunday to a Pentecostal church close to an IDP camp of 10000 people terrorised mostly by Fulani Herdsmen - we spoke on Forgiveness and a significant number came to forgive - our first taste of the pain in this nation.

Second Phase: Work with Stefanos Foundation with 37 delegates, with one from each Nigerian State including Abuja. This was very strategic for the whole nation of Nigeria and it took time to break down resistance in the delegates but we saw many of their lives changed. They were a little surprised as they had not known know what to expect, nor did we! However the Lord took over and touched them. On our drive to the airport our driver from Stefanos told us that we made Nigerian men cry which was normally impossible!
Third Phase: we went to an area which is considered the most traumatised area of the Central Plateau State from the Fulani Herdsmen. This was held in a Baptist Church and on the first day 135 people attended. I was later told on the second day 141 people attended. We taught and did drama and thankfully the Holy Spirit took control and quite independently of us healed and changed peoples lives.

Testimonies:

One lady stood up and said these people have never met a Fulani Herdsman how can they know what it is to hand our judgement over to God, when you have watched them kill your husband! However she went to the cross and nailed her forgiveness to the cross and when she went home she realised she felt better and testified the next day! (She was right we do not know these Herdsmen but by the Lords grace we know the truth sets them free!).

Rev J and wife V: a 63 and 60 year old couple, shared their heartbreaking experience. "We lost our church, pastorium, and all our property. Our older son was killed alongside other community members of Maraban Kantoma, Barkin Ladi, by Fulani Islamic terrorists in June 2018." After months of displacement, they experienced anger, distrust, loss of appetite, and emotional pain. However, after attending the training, they felt restored hope and joy. V testified, "After the first day, I slept peacefully and woke up strong with enthusiasm." J added, "I've noticed unusual joy in my wife, and we've regained hope. Nailing our pain on the cross and forgiving has healed our family, church, and community."

Another lady L 53 years from Heipang community, Barkin Ladi, shared her traumatic experience. "Fulani militias attacked our community in 2024, killing my husband and children. I miraculously escaped." She testified that the training brought her healing and relief from physical and emotional pain. "I've been healed from a spinal cord problem, and I can now do activities I couldn't do before. I'm a living testament to God's love and compassion."

Another man said: I feel this programme should go on daily without stopping. "You came all the way from UK to encourage me." For 3 years he farmed, and each time the Fulani herds consumed the crops. The most painful part was that he saw them roast his grandchild. Yesterday, tears rolled down. When he let go of everything he felt a large relief from inside.

There are many more testimonies of healing and restoration.
Fourth Phase: Hosted by Diocese of Jos: Pastors of several denominations from across the Central Plateau State came to a 3 day "Trauma Healing Course" it was dynamic, exciting and fast moving. Our host is probably the most anointed, enthusiastic, passionate, kind and gifted priest I have met. He was such an example of an Apostolic minister! He was with us most of the time and encouraged the Pastors to take everything we did into their spirits. He was giving them vision on how they must take this ministry back into their communities. He will follow up and facilitate the ministry with them to assist them to multiply this teaching and ministry.

Testimonies:

One man came with a different mindset but God turned everything around for good. All my burdens are lifted. Realising that what you believe shapes your life, has touched and transformed me. He already realised there were generational issues but was told that Christians didn't need deliverance and he didn't know where to get prayer. This programme has completely lifted the burdens. Last night I was so joyous, I feel completely at home.

Mr B– he has longed to work for God but hasn't been doing it. He dreamt about one team member visiting him in the night and a tongue of fire coming on him. He saw himself preaching. This morning I prayed in power – the flame is lit.

Another man said in the generational and ungodly linking, things we couldn't see have been cut. I felt ropes had been holding me back, connected to my family.

Another man P – on the first day, a burden lifted – something came off me. I believe I won't leave here the same way.

Mr M– before, I was confused with heavy burdens. Today all burdens are relieved.

N – there is generational polygamy. His family were asking him to leave his ministry and go back to his village and take another wife to give him a child. He believes polygamy has been broken off.

S – he believes the teaching will go beyond here. His maternal grandfather was a Muslim. He confessed, repented and forgave.

Lady T – I am amazed by the method of teaching with dramas and how you connect with one another. There is teamwork and you don't compete. In Nigeria competition is a big problem.
Conclusion: The team were overwhelmed with the Lords goodness to them and we are so grateful for your prayer support, many of you writing to give words and scriptures. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we knew we were not alone and being prayed for!
