Intercession HUBS for the Nations

“Let your glory fall in this room, let it go forth from here to the nations…”

Our prayer is for the people in these Intercession Hubs to have powerful encounters with God’s heart and purpose; for the fire of God’s Spirit that ministers among us, to then go forth and impact situations all around the world.

Over the past several months Flame has been forming Intercession Hubs across the country with a specific mandate to “Serve toward the fulfilment of the Great Commission by interceding for the nations which Flame impacts”. Prayer always has been, and must become even more so, a strong foundation of our ministry. We are excited for how several Hubs have begun to form in the country and we hope several others will start (even as far as Papua New Guinea)! All glory to God, who unless he is the builder of these Hubs, we would be labouring in vain.

As the Hubs are beginning to form, it is good to acknowledge some characteristics of prayer which will be beneficial in the formation and growth of them.

1: Intimacy At the heart of these Hubs, we pray that as the people of God gather together, there would be unity of heart and purpose to seek intimate fellowship with the Lord. May the Hubs be filled with an awesome awareness of the majesty of our God and such a deep joy that at the core of these meetings, we are spending quality, loving time with our Heavenly Father.

2: Worship This intimacy with our Father in the Holy of Holies will ultimately lead us into times of worship. Let us not rush our time with him – delighting ourselves in the Lord. “All praise, honour, glory and power be to him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, for ever and ever, Amen!”

3: Prophetic insight There are many parts of the Body, but the Lord speaks to us all, often sharing with us pieces of a jigsaw that when put together form part of a much wider tapestry. We pray and confidently hope for prophetic insight to be given to the saints in these times of intercession. The Lord is outworking his sovereign plan in the world, and it is a privilege to be alive on the earth at such a time as this. The Kingdom of God is forcefully advancing, yet the Lord is revealing more of his holy ways to his people. There may be challenging times ahead in the nations, but the Lord is above them all.

4: Intercession There are many types of prayer, and all have their place, but we believe the heart of God for these Hubs is particularly intercession. A standing in the gap, a pleading on behalf of others, a robust wrestling with cries of “Mercy” and shouts of “Victory” to be resounding in the heavenly realms from the children of God. May God empower us to intercede more effectively as we grow together, receive insightful teaching together, and be trained by the Holy Spirit together.

As Flame continues to coordinate these Hubs we also continue to ask, “Are there others who want to be involved?” Would you like to be a part of a small Hub, meeting either face to face or on zoom, perhaps once a month, to intercede for nations you otherwise may never have interceded for? If so, then please get in contact with Tristan here for more information and guidance.
